Who wrote the first blog? Frankly, I don't really plan on looking up the history of the blog, but I can't help wonder who first decided to share his/her thoughts and feelings with anyone who would listen, and why this person chose to do so. Even more interesting is the fact that blogging has spread like wildfire. I myself read blogs at times and find myself spending hours staring at the computer screen, completely enveloped by the thoughts of people don't know and have never heard of in my life. One of my guilty pleasures when I have the time is to go to mu favorite blog, feministing.com, and read post after post. I also love visiting the blog jimspancakes.com, where a very creative daddy cooks the most amazing pancakes for his daughter and shares them with the world. The funny thing is that I used make fun of bloggers and people who read blogs. "People spending free time like that, that's pathetic," I would actually think. I now feel ashamed to accept this, but it is the truth. But, I have recently learned the power and greatness behind blogs. The beauty of a blog lies in seeing life through other people's eyes. Let's face it, there are some really interesting people out there, and frankly, it's ignorant to not realize just how much we can learn from other people. There are people from all walks of life and who have lived different experiences. I hope through this blog to share with all who are willing to read what life is like through my eyes. I will acquire inspiration from the world and my surroundings. The way I see it, life is a messy and beautiful thing, and I can't wait to share it with you.
